What We Collect

ReefMind collects the minimum data needed to make the app work:

Your email address — used for account creation and login via Supabase Auth.
Tank configurations — the tanks, livestock, coral, and equipment you add to the app.
Chat messages — conversations you have with the AI assistant.

We don't collect your name, location, device identifiers, or any data beyond what's listed above.

Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-friendly, open-source analytics tool that we self-host on our own servers. It collects:

Page views (which pages are visited).
Visitor count (unique visitors, not identifiable).
Device type and browser (e.g. iPhone, Chrome).
Country (from IP address, which is not stored).

Umami does not use cookies, does not track individuals, and does not collect personal data. All analytics data is aggregated and anonymous.

We do not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or any ad-tracking tools.

What We Don't Collect

ReefMind is an indie app, not an ad platform. We do not:

Track individual user behaviour or create usage profiles.
Set cookies beyond the auth session cookie managed by Supabase.
Build advertising profiles or sell data to third parties.
Share analytics data with anyone.

Your privacy is important to us. We collect the minimum data needed to run the app and improve it.

Where Your Data Is Stored

Your account and tank data is stored in Supabase, a managed database platform hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure.

Supabase operates with industry-standard security practices. You can read more at supabase.com/security.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties, full stop.

The only external service that receives any of your data is Anthropic (for AI responses — see below).

AI Conversations & Anthropic

When you chat with ReefMind's AI assistant, your messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response. This is the only way the AI works.

Anthropic processes your message to generate a reply and does not store your conversation beyond the scope of that API request, per Anthropic's API usage policies.

We do not send your email address or account identity to Anthropic — only the chat content and any tank context you've provided.

Deleting Your Data

You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time.

To delete your account, go to Settings in the app and tap "Delete My Account". All associated tank data will be permanently removed.

PDPA Compliance

ReefMind is developed in Singapore and we take our obligations under the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) seriously.

We collect only what's necessary for the app to function.
We don't use your data for purposes other than running the app.
You can access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time.
